Wii Can Be Fit
In April 2008, Nintendo releases the long awaited Wii Fit.
Well what’s a Wii Fit you may ask? It comprises of a video game that uses a special peripheral controller, called the Wii Balance Board, to duplicate a variety of physical exercises and enhance them through graphics, competition, and the Wii game experience.
The Wii Fit is a video game for the Nintendo Wii that is based on various types physical exercises. In order to perform these exercises Wii Fit comes with a peripheral controller called the Wii Balance Board.
The Wii Balance Board looks suspiciously like the bathroom scale you might already own, and just like it, the Balance Board can give an accurate measure of a persons weight.
The Wii Balance Board might even be more accurate than a traditional bathroom scale. But besides trying to get you off the couch, the Board also controls the game through the use of pressure sensors, which measure the person’s center of balance.
In this way the board is used to control various balances games and exercise routines that provide the kind of fun the whole family can enjoy. This is probably why so many gamers and non-gamers alike are seeking it out.
Since its release, Wii Fit has proven to be extremely popular, flying off shelves at record speed. So if you don’t already own Wii Fit (or a Wii to go with it) or know when the Nintendo Wii Fit is coming out, you owe it to yourself to explore this option and find a physical activity the whole family can enjoy
